Market Analysis:
We do an in-depth study of the particular customer base that lives in the area around that facility. Where are they playing and why? Determine what steps need to be taken to ensure customer satisfaction that differentiates us from the competition. On-going analysis of the information is crucial to the success of a course’s marketing plan.

Yield Management:
Borrowing proven theories and procedures from others in the hospitality industry, we initiate locally designed yield management practices to maximize a facility’s revenue. Examples of successful practices employed include proactive tee sheet management, demand-based pricing (Donovan Daily Email campaign) and seasonal rates.

Direct Email Marketing:
Direct marketing activities – email, web site and direct sales – are the most targetable, measurable, accountable, flexible and efficient methods with which to create loyalty among and sell directly to customers. We collect and maintain customer databases to which personalized, targeted messages are regularly presented, promising brand presence of mind among customers. The Donovan Daily has been in force since late 2001 and to date we have a database of over 30,000 golfers and it is growing everyday. This will be used to announce the project along with any important information as well supplementing play at slow times in our Tee Time schedule.

Media Relations:
Donovan Bros. Golf has a long-standing productive relationship with the print media in Southern California. This relationship allows for timely course updates and positive course reviews in weekly golf sections of the sport pages.

Advertising:
A full media campaign will be implemented using television, newspapers, internet, all golf publications and most importantly our proven Email campaign.

Program Development:
We will cater to the needs of the market, special programs for frequent players, senior citizens, junior and women golfers, local residents, golf organizations, corporate entities, associations and other interest groups are pursued, creatively structured and promoted. Such programs usually center on filling the course during its "down time."

Community Outreach:
The Donovan Bros. Development Program is designed to provide fun and inexpensive learning programs that bring novice- and non-golfers permanently into the game of golf. This, and many other programs – high school golf team sponsorships, for example – provide a course with community goodwill and positive media coverage.
